Default Bine Direction

Does it matter which way I twist the bines up my twine to get them started? Which way is correct? If I went the wrong way to start will they correct themselves or should I try to undo them and get them going the right way?

Your hops will follow the sun. If you get them started the wrong way I'm sure they'll correct themselves. To get them started on the right path they wind themselves clockwise around the twine.

Enjoy!

Clockwise when looking down the twine, Counter-Clockwise if looking up

Yes, I should have qualified that.

That said, if you're having to look up by the time you're training your hops on the twine, you've got more than a bit of work ahead of you. LOL

Nope, sun still follows east/west path in the southern hemi even though the seasons are reversed.

Did not realize that's what causes them to rotate in a given direction, makes sense I suppose.

Yeah, I was referring to the Coriolis effect, but apparently it's much simpler than that and doesn't require a mathematical formula...
