Curious how this will turn out for you.
I made a fresh (but dried) hop IPA from hops given to me. It was a very hot and dry summer here in Nebraska, so I think that is part of my problem. Slightly too bitter (3/4oz @ 60min), and really grassy. Only 1oz dry hopped for 8 days. It was grassy before that...
BTW, my little sister lives in Corvallis. I really need to visit, but with a 17mo old and one on the way, it's tough.
