Is that an accurate reading? It looks like your hydrometer is sitting on some trub...

Barleywine.

On a side note... Does the break in your tube affect the gravity reading? I have always taken a sample, removed the clear wort from the break and take my reading. Thanks

The reading did not change with i first put it in and when it settled. I dont think it will effect the reading. The break out will be pushed out of the way and not effect the hydrometer reading. It was pretty mixed up when i took the sample. I should let it settle before but who cares its fermenting.

Sounds like Dugway or Tooele. Or pretty much most of the state.

Going with American Light lager
