Actually, these are both the Brown Porter and California Common recipe right out of "Brewing Classic Styles" by Jamil and John Palmer.

Instead of summer pale ale,I should've named it cougarator,as it came out like a mid gravity Salvator doppel bock. Nailed the color of the Paulaner classic. I beat out a commercial ale to boot.
