It's been too long since having a Moose Drool to compare. Here are the specs on my Janet's Brown vs. Northern Brewer's Caribou Slober. These are probably pretty different beers.
Janet's Brown
All-Grain
7.1 ABV (measured)
1.068 OG (measured)
1.014 FG (measured)
68 IBU (calculated with ProMash)
Caribou Slobber
5.3 ABV (calculated)
1.057 OG (recipe)
1.017 FG (assume 70% Attenuation for Wyeast 1332)
35 IBU (Recipe)
I'd wager they are very different. I haven't brewed moose drool, but I've brewed Janet's Brown at least 5 or 6 times, and it's quite hoppy for the style. From what I remember from the CYBI episode on Moose Drool was that it was much more mellow.
Moose Drool
ABV= 5.3%
OG= 1.053
FG= 1.013
IBU: 26
Pretty good beer, but a few better ones around the state. Its unfortunate we don't distribute more of our beers. And import more east coast beers, like DfH or Harpoon.
Idk if this is strictly beer but here is my apple cranberry cider. Its 8% and you can't taste the alcohol. This can get me in trouble quicker than edworts apfelwein
