Not uncommon to have a pair of shorts in your car in AZ. I have a pair in my truck for if pants are just too damn hot.

Just bought my plane ticket to get to GABF today, so I'll definitely be there. My pro-am entry this year was only 7bbl as well, of course it started at 1.110.

Thanks, everybody.
As I said in another thread, I know that I am 1 of at least 5 others on this board that have had this honor in the past or are in this years field.

mrbowenz has won the gold at GABF

I hope that we all have the opportunity to meet up at the GABF. What a photo that would be!

As per the scotch to wort ratio, my guess is 2 oz per pint. Trial and error are your friend.

As to the back story on how, read this thread.

Don't be afraid to ask your local breweries how you can make this happen if they are not already participating.

I'm not sure that breweries will be able to enter now. Last friday was the deadline to register a breweries normal entries, not sure if that also covers the pro-am entry

There's always next year. It might take a full year of lobbying.

Wow olllllo, that is very cool. Congratulations. I'd be smiling the whole time too if I had a chance to brew 7bbl. I thought the possibility of brewing 1 bbl would be quite an adventure, especially using non-commercial equipment.

I need to add that my lovely wife took all the pictures and stayed with me for the entire brew day.
