Default I am Lazy





this worked great

it held the grain bag at 158* with out any trouble

that is 5 Qts of water




before the top off water
that woud be fun to ferment....one day .............

just kidding
my thought was to offer up an idea for those that cannot do large AG brews

I have had really good results with this stuff

it is only good for about 3 or 4 # of grain

which works out great for PM brews

BTW it finished OG after the water was 1.064

If it works for you, great! It just takes SO LONG to get up to temp in a crockpot, I can't see myself being that patient. How do you get the wort out of the crockpot and into the boil kettle without aerating the hell out of it? If you've got any concern about HSA at all (debatable whether you should), you don't want to be pouring that.
