Default Homemade Tap handles...pics inside

Since this is one of the few things that my wife doesn't share my love of, in fact she thinks I'm kind of an idiot when it comes to these hobby obsessions of mine, I thought i'd share my new tap handles w/ some fellow beer geeks. I took some nice 1.5" square pieces of pine from my big box store. Beat em up with a dremel, sand blasted em, torched em w/ a butane torch, and stained them. I'm quite happy with them. Here they are on my new kegerator set up.

I like it. Reminds me of some reused barn wood.

Yeah. Really nice!

If you were doing a farmhouse or country inn thing, those would be perfect.

Or an old rake handle, I guess.

Bottling the Belgian: A Photo Odyssey

Beer is the mind-killer. Beer is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my beer. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see it's path. When the beer has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Hoppenflan? What on earth? Hop flan?

BTW, "hops" in Deutsch is "Hopfen".

Most times simple works pretty good, and in your case, perfect. The handles look fantastic!
