Default Half Barrel Kegerator Mini Fridge Pics, Please!

Hello all,

This will be my first post to this board and I am looking for a bit of "inspiration". I am a 21 year old college student and will admit that I don't really have the taste or wallet for fine beer and craft brews. HOWEVER, I would like to class up a mini-fridge and turn it into a kegerator for the half-barrel Natty Light kegs that my roommates and I have come to love and appreciate. So, does anyone have any plans for a 1/2 barrel mini fridge kegerator? I figure this would be the section to ask on since this is the home-brew guys and you all seem to have some impressive setups.

If this is in the wrong section, I apologize and please feel free to move it to the proper section. Thanks!

-Zach

DIY Projects would be a good place to look around and you can probably get some ideas from this thread in the Bottling/Kegging section

BTW, try to save up and splurge on some Yeungling or Sam Adams and some point, but since you're drinking piss-water, crank the temperature down to just above freezing and you won't taste much anyways.

good luck

It's hard to do a handstand when it's in a kegerator...

I'm in your same situation, I drink nothing but cheap beer. I LOVE craft beer, don't get me wrong, but my money is tight for a young college kid, I can't be spending $10 on 6 packs all the time. Check ebay, you can get conversion kits for pretty cheap and they are pretty simple to install.

My friends and I are next year are most likely going to keep a better beer (Yeungling, etc) in the kegerator and just do a bucket with a crappy tap for the Natty garbage. Piss water is something I've grown to love, even though it tastes like stale water. I'm mostly just trying to see what people have done to accommodate a full size keg in a small fridge or a small freezer.
