This makes me so sad. All these small towns get their own LHBS, but mine does not.

And I'm in @&$% NEW YORK CITY!!

Seriously, WTH?? Any other New Yorkers feel my pain?

Before you say anything, that hydroponics store in Flushing does not count. For one, Queens is weird. It's an odd place that you just don't go to unless you're a Mets fan or an immigrant. It takes two hours to get to by public transportation and only has a small corner for homebrew stuff. Then you get to carry your stuff back for two hours going from walking, to the bus, to the train.

Why can't Manhattan or Brooklyn get a decent LHBS?

This isn't an arrogant NY sense of entitlement talking here, but a simple question of common sense. I just can't wrap my mind around the fact that there are so many hundreds of homebrew shops in this country, many of which are in pretty small towns, and yet the biggest city in the country, for all the esoteric, random, ridiculous, unique, and/or useless stuff that it DOES have, does NOT have a homebrew store.

kevmoron, I share your pain.

- Brooklyn homebrewer who would brew more if we had a store and everything didn't have to get ordered over the internet in advance or brought in by relatives from Long Island.
