Default 22 gallon EF/IPA brew day

54 lbs. of grain ready to go... EF on the right, IPA on the left.

Two ale pails full of grain is a beautiful thing:

Transferring IPA strike water to mash tun. I can't remember what was so funny... maybe I farted or something. That's me on the right.

Doughing in the IPA:

nice, im wondering how well you hit your temps, was it a lot of trouble with such a huge grist?

We hit the EF dead on, the IPA was another story. This was only the second time that we'd used my buddy's mlt and we missed mash temp by about 4 degrees so we pulled out some of the mash and heated it to raise the temperature. All turned out well.

Looks like a smooth brew day. Can't wait to see a glass of the finished products .
