I second firebrewer's post. Been using ProMash for awhile, and it does everything I need it to do. Tried Beersmith, and it was alright, just different...and looks more complex. I like the relatively simple UI on PM, even though the program is pretty complex.

I actually feel just the opposite of Evan. I think Beersmith is easier to use than Promash. Tried both trial versions and went with Beersmith.

Yeah, I can't stand ProMash's interface.

One of the things I'm working on now, though, is building my own spreadsheets to replace Beersmith (which I do like) - primailry so that I can have a better understanding of where the calculations are coming from.

I've used promash pretty much since I started brewing a bit over a year ago. Does nearly everything I needed to, but I'm not too crazy about their brewing sessions.

Beersmith.
I like the export to text feature. Helps me keep a backup of my "Recipes.txt" file which I can also store on my Palm. That's nice when I'm wanting to order some ingredients for a recipe and don't have my laptop with me.

You can do that wth promash as well. Select "print" then in export to text file. Odd place to put it, but all the exprt functions apeear on the print menu.

Don't see iBrewmaster listed. Been using that for about a year. Previously used Brewpal and ProMash. But I love having iBrewmaster in my picket on the iPhone.

I use Beer Alchemy mostly but I also have iBrewmaster. Maybe because I've used it longer ( was the only Mac brew software I could run on my older power pc iMac at the time) I prefer Beer Alchemy.
