I believe that BrewSmith provides a % weight of the ingredients for a particular recipe. Is there a way that one can see what the contribution of each ingredient to the fermentable totals is? In other words, 2lbs of DME will contribute to the OG more than 2lbs of grain, but they show up as the same % on the list. It seems that it would be more helpful to know how much each ingredient contributes to the fermentable sugars and show that percentage instead. Am I missing something?

No it's % by weight, which is kind of messed up when you start working with partial mash recipes because it doesn't reflect the underlying equivalent AG grain bill when you have 5 lbs of DME vs 5 lbs of malt.

It is something you can calculate yourself using the PPG numbers for each grain, but it's not in there that I am aware of.
