I just bottled another batch of this, where I just dumped the tea leaves directly into the fermenter instead of steeping them first. Tasted pretty good. Wish I'd kept some of the last batch to compare.

Gave this recipe a try today. I only had about 6 ounces of molasses so I substituted in some brown sugar for the flavor and sugars. The gravity was about 1.044 and the taste was really good. The tea adds a little astringency and the molasses complements the apple flavor. I plan on watching the fermentation and bottling around 1.000, following the sticky on pasteurizing to stop the yeast before I get bottle bombs. Thanks for the recipe!
