Just wanted to say thanks. I have had nothing but good things said about this as more of a sweet wine. I tweaked the ingredients and have started a few experiments. Using white and concord mixes at different levels. What are you guys getting for your OG normally? I tried super hard to get it to 1.100 once but in a 5 gallon batch of 10 juice contained and 8 lbs of sugar I got up to 1.080 and just couldn't bring myself to add anything more. All in all as a summer wine this one is my favourite, and super cheap which also helps haha so thanks.

That is strange the grape juice alone is 1.062 and I didn't add any water to dilute it.

Just mixed up three gallons of this stuff. One gallon original concord and two gallons of white grape juice. Going to pitch Montrachet in the morning.

Has anyone else tried this and what are your results?

This is the leftover cranberry juice - grape concentrate wine. Can't fix the rotation on my cellphone.

It's a little bitey on the end of the taste. I'm hoping that conditions out a little. Either way, my wife loves it.

I made this with a few other variables.
1 gal batch
1 can apple juice concentrate
1 can welch white grape juice
1 64oz jug of 100% white grape juice.
Let the mix sit in the carboy over night then topped off with sugar water and yeast nutrient to 1.090 OG
Let it sit again then added Vintners Harvest cy 17 yeast.
Originally wanted a dryer finishing yeast, but opted for this instead.

I mixed everything up last night minus the acid blend, put the yeast in this morning. My SG was .100 so hopefully its not too hot. Time will tell!
