Cream of Wheat

This is inspired by Pete's Wicked Wanderlust. I'm sure not many have tried it, but this is one of my favorite fall beers, they call it a cream ale, but it is far from it. Has a velvety smooth body with just a little residual malty sweetness, a great brew for late night or cool weather.

From my reading, they do make it with lager yeast at warmer temps, but that's as far as they go and won't divulge any proprietary info, so I decided on the Cali Common Yeast. I did a late addition with the wheat malt at the end to aid in hop utilization with the small amount of hops, and help minimize carmelization of the extract from boiling it too long. 3.25 gal partial boil.
Enjoy.
Ingredients

5.00 lb Munich Liquid Extract (8.0 SRM) Extract 58.8 %
3.00 lb Wheat Liquid Extract (8.0 SRM) Extract 35.3 %
0.50 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 10L (10.0 SRM) Grain 5.9 %

0.50 oz Cluster [7.00%] (50 min) Hops 11.1 IBU
0.50 oz Cluster [7.00%] (20 min) Hops 7.0 IBU

1 tablet Whirfloc (20 min)

1 Pkgs California Lager (Wyeast Labs #2112) Yeast-Lager

AG Version has been altered slightly due to...
a) hop shortage and need for slightly more hop aroma
b) White Labs has released a new yeast strain WLP080

Amount Item Type % or IBU

4 lbs 8.0 oz Munich Malt (9.0 SRM) Grain 42.86 %
3 lbs Pale Malt, Maris Otter (3.0 SRM) Grain 28.57 %
3 lbs Wheat Malt, Ger (2.0 SRM) Grain 28.57 %

0.75 oz Williamette [4.50 %] (60 min) Hops 11.9 IBU*
0.50 oz Cluster [7.90 %] (15 min) Hops 6.9 IBU
0.50 oz Cluster [7.90 %] (0 min) Hops
*I would have used another 1/2oz of cluster, but only had 1oz available.

1 Pkgs Cream Ale Yeast Blend (White Labs #WLP080) [Starter 1/2gal] Yeast-Hybrid

Had my first Pete's Wicked Wanderlust Cream Ale today and both my wife and I really liked it. Anybody brew this or have any followup on how this turned out? and how close it is to Pete's?

Sadly, I can't find Pete's Wanderlust anymore, haven't seen it in a couple years, so I don't really remember how it tastes that well, but this is my approximation of what I remember it tasting like. Not really a cream ale, more like a creamy ale, keep a low carbonation and it is velvety smooth.
