Default All-Grain - Steve's Classic Belgian Wit

Recipe Type: All Grain
Yeast: Wyeast 3942 Belgian Wheat
Yeast Starter: N/A
Batch Size (Gallons): 5
Original Gravity: 1.046
Final Gravity: 1.008
IBU: 15.7
Boiling Time (Minutes): 90
Color: 3.42 SRM
Primary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 10
Tasting Notes: Classic belgian wit taste. The corriander and orange really come through on this.

4.5 lbs. Belgian Pils
2.5 lbs. White Wheat Malt
2 lbs. Wheat Flaked
1 lb. Rice Hulls
.5 oz. Saaz (Pellets, 5.8 %AA) boiled 60 min.
.5 oz. Saaz (Pellets, 5.8 %AA) boiled 10 min.
.65 ounces Coriander boiled 10min.
.35 ounces Bitter Orange Peel boiled 3 min.
.25 ounces Sweet Orange Peel boiled 3 min.
1 pinch of Cinnamon (flameout)
Yeast : WYeast 3942 Belgian Wheat


Mashed @154 for 1 hour. Sparge@ 168.
