Partial - Deluge IPA
Recipe Type: Partial Mash Yeast: US-05 Yeast Starter: 2 cups @ 80F to rehydrate Batch Size (Gallons): 5.00 Original Gravity: 1.057-1.060 Final Gravity: 1.014 IBU: 65-70 Boiling Time (Minutes): 60 Color: 10 Primary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 8 @ 68F Secondary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 11 @ 75 Tasting Notes: notes to come soon. Just bottled.
Deluge IPA (Continuously-hopped, dry-hopped, Cascade single-hop IPA)

12oz Munich II
6oz Honey Malt
Hops

5oz Total, Cascade, pellet, 6.9%AA
From 26min to 1min, add 0.2oz to boil every minute
Dry-hop: 1oz for 11 days
Mash

Equipment: 5gal stoneware ceramic pot, 5gal paint strainer bag, oven @ 170F for insulation
45min @ 154F (mash started at 152, ended at 156)
Bottling

3.3oz Dextrose (got a scale! woo!) in 4.86 gallons
3 weeks at room temp, then stuff as many in the fridge as you can fit for cold conditioning (works WONDERS on hoppy beer) |
