Notes:

This was an attempt to brew the average of Terrapin Brewing Co.'s Rye Pale Ale and their Rye Squared Strong Ale ("Mean Turtle" -- get it? get it?). In my opinion, it turned out great. Deliciously bready with a decent hop kick. If brewed again, I would mash a little lower for better attenutation.

AG- just sub more base malt for the 3lbs DME.

Yeah, that was back when I was doing "all-grain" but only had a 5 gal mash tun, so not everything would fit and I had to supplement with extract.

I just bottled up a variant this past week. Little bigger in OG, and had to use the hops I had on hand. Preliminary samples are tasting pretty good again.

Kegged it last night. A FG of 1.014 so ABV just under 8%...Hydro sample was good! Not a lot of Rye flavor though but we will see what its like carbed.
