Default Great Moon Wit

Recipe Type: All Grain
Yeast: Wyeast Kolsh 2565
Batch Size (Gallons): 5
Original Gravity: 1.048
Final Gravity: 1.008
Boiling Time (Minutes): 60
Primary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 14

6.0 lbs.Pilsen 2 row malt
3.0 lbs. Briess wheat malt
1.0 lbs. flaked wheat America
0.8 lbs. flaked oats America

1 oz. Hallertau whole hops (60 min)
1 oz. Hallertau whole hops (15 min)
1 oz. bitter orange peel (10 min)
1 oz. coriander (10 min)
Optional 1.0 oz. 88% lactic acid
(to taste before bottling or kegging)

Mash at 152 for 60 min. Boil for 60 minutes, adding hops at specified times. Add spices with 15 minutes left in boil.
Pitch yeast at 74 deg and ferment at 68 deg for 14 days. Then bottle or keg.

Just finished: Hybrid German Hef
Hef was tapped friday night and amber was tapped saturday at noon. Both were gone by 11pm. Gotta love my sons first birthday party.
