Default All-Grain - Warrior Summit NW IPA

Recipe Type: All Grain
Yeast: US 05
Yeast Starter: nope
Batch Size (Gallons): 5
Original Gravity: 1.065
Final Gravity: 1.011
IBU: 56
Boiling Time (Minutes): 60
Color: 8
Primary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 21 days @ 65F
Secondary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 10 days dryhop @ 65F
Tasting Notes: Nice bitter bite, just enough malt to carry the sticky, eathy pine hoppiness

This IPA was kind of an experiment with a bunch of Warrior hops to not just use them for bittering, but also as flavor and aroma additions (and dry hop). I'd posted earlier about it (below), but now that it turned out being a successful beer I wanted to add the recipe.

I just got this carbed up, went over real well at a club meeting this week and shared it with some friends who really liked it so thought I'd pass along the final recipe.

Falls into what I'd consider a Pacific NW IPA: an earthy, piney-resiny dank bitterness. Pretty sticky head with great lacing. Nice dry hop aroma, but not that floral, perfumy aroma I associate with a California/West Coast IPA. I don't brew a lot of IPAs, but this one might be worthy of a rebrew.

Bitterness: 56.8 IBU
Mash: 152 F 70 mins
Mash Efficiency 75%
Boil: 6.0 for 60 minutes
Batch size: 5.0 gallons

These lighting and phone pictures make this look a little murky and don't do it the clarity and color of the beer justice, but I wanted to show off the lacing on this beer!
