Grain bill:
9 Lbs pale ale 76.6%
2.5 Lbs light Munich 21.3%
.25 Lbs Crystal 120 2.1%
Mash at 154F, 45 min.

60 Min. boil.

.8oz Columbus 60 min.
1 oz Simcoe 30 min.
1 oz Centennial 1 min.
1 oz Crystal dry hop.

I'm an IPA fan, and this one was as good as any commercial IPA I've had, and simple to boot. The aroma is the only place this one wasn't perfect in, IMO. I might suggest a change in the dry hop.

Here's a pic. Could have been a bit more clear, but it really is awesome tasting. ;)

Seems like a pretty good recipe.

I've been finding that 2 oz is about the right amount of dry hop for 5 gallons (assuming no mechanical aid...). I seem to lose aroma with 1 oz. too rapidly.

I'd move your 30 minute addition to 15 minutes or less to get more hop flavor. You'll have to up the 60 minute a bit to keep the bitterness the same. Or move some of the Simcoe to a first wort hop to develop that 15-20 minute hop flavor. Disclaimer -- hophead talking!:mug:

I would sub any of the other hops you use for crystal it depends on the aroma your looking for.
Do you keg or bottle ?
I just met a guy from your town this weekend at founders he was a landscaper
and he was a mug club member of northpeak I didnt get his name though.

I brewed the evolution of this recipe again this weekend.

I've upped the base malt to 11 pounds, and added a quarter pound of carapils.
Mashed at 153.

OG ~1.070
should finish at ~1.018
1056 yeast.

I hopped with 1.25oz of Columbus at 60min.
Moved the Simcoe hop addition to 15 minutes,
And will change the dry hop to 2 oz of Centennial rather than the crystal.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions.
