Recipe Type: All Grain
Yeast: WLP001 Cali Ale
Yeast Starter: Yep
Batch Size (Gallons): 5.5
Original Gravity: 1.085
Final Gravity: 1.015
IBU: 83.1
Boiling Time (Minutes): 75
Color: 28
Primary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 21days @ 65
Secondary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 7 @ 70
Tasting Notes: Roasty Hop Goodness

16lbs 2-row
14oz Carafa II
4oz Roasted Barley

Mash @ 152 for 60 minutes

1.5 oz Citra (first wort hop)
.5 oz Citra (15min)
.5 oz Citra (10 min)
.5 oz Simcoe (10 min)
.5 oz Citra (5 min)
.5 oz Simcoe (5 min)
1.0 oz Citra (flame out 15 minute steep)
2.0 oz Citra in Secondary

Bottled with 2/3 cup brown sugar

@ 14 days beer is pretty damn tastey
@ 20 days I had 3.
this batch is gonna be gone soon.

Ok I made this...
I was looking for a simple BIPA recipe and this fit the bill. It turned out to be a really great beer. One of my best.
I did change the Hops due to what I had laying around (Cascade) and I dry hopped with Centinneial.

Anyway, Great beer! Thanks for sharing.

Glad you liked it. I have brewed it a few times now and it goes down well. I always mess with the hops to see what other kind of flavors I can get. This is quickly becoming a normal on tap brew.
