Have this in the fermenter as we speak, came up with it dinking around in beersmith and thinking about flavors I wanted. Was going for a spin off of a mix between Alaskan Oatmeal Stout and Pipeline Porter (flavor/mouthfeel wise). Will let you know how it turns out, right now just looking for comments.

The recipe database is for tried and true recipes only por favor. Please put these types of threads in the recipes/ingredients forum. That said, I don't know anything about coffee malt, but I would think with that coupled with your other dark malts, some may say you're going a little overboard with the dark malts. I, however, say bring it on.

Well it has been tasted now and IS AMAZING. Up front it tastes similar to Guinness with a little bitterness, fades into a taste of bittersweet chocolate, just sweet enough not at all overpowering at all, came out great. I did end up going with a but more chocolate malt than the above recipe though.
