Steep: steeped specialty grains 45 minutes @ 162

7 lb. DARK Liquid malt extract
Hops: 1 oz. Cascade 60 min
.5 oz. Hallertauer 30 min
1 oz. Northern Brewer 30 min
.5 oz. Hallertauer 5 min
Yeast: Nottingham

I just tried the first bottle of this after 9 days in the bottle. Probably the best beer I have made. This stuff is black and flavorfull and just the right amount of hops.
 
Hrmm, really, it is good?! What would you liken it to? A sort of stout or porter?

I am interested... really!
 
I would say that it is a stout, because I don't know what a porter is. Sorry, I am kind of a noob. Reformed BMC drinker that has been home brewing 6 months. Granted, I have brewing alot in 6 months, but still a noob! It is a good recipe tho for extract.
