After finishing a few kegs of Orfy's Mild Mannered Ale (which began a long adventure through the history of Mild Ales, including making some historical recipes) I decided to see how it would taste with some dark crystal malt in addition to the caramel flavour of the 60L. The initial keg turned out so well that 3 more followed quickly, 2 of which were consumed in a single poker night. It's not very often you won't find a mild of some sort on tap or in bottles at my place. This recipe is almost always on hand.

* The Carastan Malt is Crystal 60L.

60L. I use Crystal 60L or Carastan, it tastes identical (it's probably one of those Victory:Biscuit situations).

I'll update the recipe to include that for clarity.
