Absolutely. Safeale 05 is a good American ale yeast.

My interpretation of this recipe upped it to 7.5 # DME and I'll be using the remaining .5 ish of sterlings and .5ish spalt to dry hop. Additionally, I used Safeale US-05 for my yeast. Plan on having this drinkable in about 20 days.
I have high hopes for this beer.

And I just dumped an ounce of Amarillo and an ounce of cascade hops into it 7 days later...

Just put in fermenter but substituted the sterling for Saaz 3.4% (because sterling wasnt available at the hb store - Melbourne, Australia) , now for the wait!
