Default Imperial Hellfire 2.0

Recipe Type: Partial Mash
Yeast: PacMan
Yeast Starter: Slurry from prev. batch
Batch Size (Gallons): 5.5
Original Gravity: 1.068
Final Gravity: 1.010`
Boiling Time (Minutes): 60
Primary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 5 days
Secondary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 3 weeks

This recipe was created by Dude in 2006 (unfortunately I cant find a copy of the original recipe anymore). This is the version that I made for Summer 2007. This years batch was far better than last years, but that is probably due to improvments in my technique moreso than changes in the recipe.

5.2 lbs Pale Malt
1.6 lbs X-pale LME
2.7 lbs Munich Malt
2 lbs Honey
2.8 lbs Rye Malt
1.4 lbs Flaked Rye
0.5 lbs Crystal 40L

0.6 oz Simcoe pellets; 60 min; 12.0% AA
0.5 oz Simcoe; 45 min
0.3 oz Simcoe; 30 min
0.5 oz Williamette; 10 min
1.5 oz Williamette; dry 3 weeks

1 oz Oak chips in secondary for 3 weeks
1 pellet Whirfloc

Pacman yeast slurry from previous batch

Mash: 45 min at 158*F
