All-Grain - Dogfish Head Indian Brown
Recipe Type: All Grain Yeast: ringwood Batch Size (Gallons): 5 Original Gravity: 1.072 Final Gravity: 1.019 IBU: 52 Boiling Time (Minutes): 60 Primary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 7-10 65 Secondary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 7-10 65 Tasting Notes: n/a
Can someone help find a way to convert this into a partial mash recipe? or even better a PM conversion I could use to convert any AG to PM. I got this off of brew365.com

All Grain Recipe - Indian Brown Ale ::: 1.072/1.019 (5.5 Gal)
Grain Bill
12 lbs. - 2 Row Pale Malt
3/4 lb. - Amber Malt
1/2 lb. - Crystal Malt (60L)
1/2 lb. - Chocolate Malt
2 oz. - Roasted Barley (a little goes a long way)
1/2 lb. - Dark Brown Sugar (added with 10min left in boil)
Hop Schedule - 52 IBU
1 oz. - Warrior - 60 min.
1 oz. - Vanguard - 20 min.
1 oz. - Vanguard - at Flameout
Yeast
Wyeast 1187 Ringwood Ale Yeast - 1800 ml. starter
Mash/Sparge/Boil
Mash In at 154° for 60 min - sparge as usual
Boil time : 60 min.
With 10 minutes left, add in the Brown Sugar
Cool and ferment at 71° to 74°
Notes
An extract version of this Recipe Appeared in Sam Calgione's book : Extreme Brewing.
I have changed it to all grain and rounded off a few weights for the sake of simplicity.
Also, I added hop additions as the original recipe equaled out to only 22 IBU, yet the beer is listed in the book and on the DFH website as 50 IBU. |
