Default Conceited Bastard

Recipe Type: All Grain

Original Gravity: 1.068
Final Gravity: 1.010
IBU: 66
Boiling Time (Minutes): 60

Tasting Notes: Roasty, bitter, fruity, raisin, chocolate with a piney hop aroma.

This beer was inspired by Stone Brewing's Arrogant Bastard. I wanted something dark, fruity and bitter. Not quite stout black, a very dark brown/red. Not a clone but really good.

6 oz Pale Chocolate
4 oz Roast Barley

76% efficiency

Mash at 150f for 60 minutes

1 tsp Irish Moss 15 min of boil

1 oz Chinook 11.6% pellets 40 min of boil
1 oz Chinook 11.6% pellets 20 min of boil
1 oz Chinook 11.6% pellets 10 min of boil
1 oz Chinook 11.6% pellets whirlpool

Primary: American Alt, Golden Cream Ale
Kegged: Conceited Bastard, Pineapple Pale Ale
