Default All-Grain - City of Fountains Pale Ale (AG)

Recipe Type: All Grain
Yeast: US-05/Nottingham
Yeast Starter: Rehydrate
Additional Yeast or Yeast Starter: No
Batch Size (Gallons): 5
Original Gravity: 1.054
Final Gravity: 1.053
IBU: 38.4
Boiling Time (Minutes): 90
Color: 8.2 SRM
Primary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 10 Days at 65-68F
Additional Fermentation: No
Secondary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 10 Days at 65-68F

After many months and many trials this has turned out to be one of my favorite beers to keep on tap. The late hop editions make this a very tasty, well balanced, drinkable beer. The combination of Cascade and Amarillo hops is heavenly. I hope you enjoy.

I mash this at 152*-154* for one hour and boil for an hour and a half.

It will ferment out after about 10 days. You can cold crash and keg at this point or let it sit and clear up for another week or two.

Use Nottingham for a bit dryer finish. I've used both US-05 and Notty in this and personaly prefer the US-05. Both will work fine as I have had freinds and family prefer the one with Notty.

Oops, Thanks.

Can't seem to edit the top portion. It should be 1.013.
