Default All-Grain - MOther Fuggles English Pale Ale

Recipe Type: All Grain
Yeast: English Ale WLP002
Yeast Starter: None
Additional Yeast or Yeast Starter: None
Batch Size (Gallons): 5
Original Gravity: 1.044
Final Gravity: 1.013
IBU: 38.4
Boiling Time (Minutes): 60
Color: 3.6
Primary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 14 @ 72
Additional Fermentation: None
Secondary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): None
Tasting Notes: Pretty dry, light body, prominent and smooth biterness

This was my first SMaSH brew and as is normally the case with SMaSH brews, the primary intent was to learn the flavor of Marris Otter malt and Fuggles hop. I have to say, they go very well together. The only commercial example I have to compare it to is Redhook ESB, which probably isn't the best example, but it will have to do. It's quite a bit lighter in color than the RH(pic below), but it tastes much the same, perhaps a bit dryer and with a smoother biterness (I assume due to the Fuggles). The hop flavor is nonetheless similar to the RH and, in fact, is so similar that I would bet RH uses Fuggles in the ESB. I feel this is an excellent session beer that many, including your BMC friends, will enjoy. Here is the recipe. Let me know if anyone brews it and what you think.
