Yay! (I made schnitzel twice in the last week, including Jaeger Schnitzel last night)

Moto, do you make your own spaetzle?

And no pics? Come on!

Is this something that the pasta attachment for Kitchenaid mixer can do? I don't have it (yet). Anyone know?

Wouldn't think so. Traditional spaetzel dough is very sticky and wet, sorta like thick pancake batter and wouldn't do you any good in a pasta maker. You can buy a real spatzle press or scraper at pretty much any kitchen store for like $10. Or a slotted spoon works too.

Aside, do like the Germans and add a bit of freshly grated nutmeg to the batter. Makes all the difference.

i certainly added some fresh nutmeg.

i've heard a pasta strainer works, but mine has too small of holes.
