Default Potluck side ideas needed

Having a potluck dinner with BBQ brisket and chicken. I'm expected to bring a side. I'd like to take something made with beer as an ingredient.

Any suggestions?

Doesn't have beer in it. But will the host still have their BBQ going? We had people over this weekend and someone brought over a white bean salad with pancetta and blue cheese crumbles. We got my Big Green Egg back up to temperature (I'd just finished doing ribs and chicken) and grilled some peach halves. We then sliced the peaches into thin slices and put on the salad. It was ROCKIN'!

I can see if I can find the recipe. She based it off a Food Network recipe, but couldn't find fresh figs, so I suggested the peaches.

Thanks for the suggestion. They'll be ordering the BBQ in. I'm pretty much known as the beer guru so I'd like to do something with beer as an ingredient so as to keep up my reputation.

Yeah. Can't blame you for wanting to incorporate that.

What about some BBQ's beans with beer in 'em? Or a beer and cheese dip with sourdough bread (to compliment the yeasty-sourness of the beer)?

The cheese sounds good. A Cheddar/Ale deal?? You could always add sliced apples and veg for dipping. Or go with something "beer-related" like a German style potato salad.
