Default Local Places to get ingredients

I know you can order a lot online, but many of these seem to say they should be kept refrigerated. I would rather buy local, if possible...

My LHBS doesn't carry cheese supplies, so where else can I go? I tried Trader Joe's with no luck. I've emailed a number of 'natural food' and health stores to no avail.

Any other ideas?

What about calling your local farm/feed store? If they don't know, you'd think they'd have customers who would know that they might ask.
