And I mean /from scratch/. ... the box shown in the set is the box the tomatoes came in.
Believe it or not that is 3.5 US gallons of chili right there . Freeze and thaw for later good eats .
If anyone wants the recipe lemme know on the thread. Just wanted to show everyone that I don't just brew beer .

I find a lot of people used canned tomatoes/tomato sauce, canned beans, etc. ...
Most people I know don't stew/shock/puree tomatoes to start a chili .

I make all my own soil for my tomato plants. It takes about five million years, but it's totally worth it.

Hah no I didn't grow the tomatoes they were grown on a local farm. The fact that the produce is fresh and not canned and preserved changes the flavor which is why I was pointing out it was from scratch .
But eh, have your fun teasing me ...
FoundlingOfDollar I'll post the recipe for you later tonight .

FWIW canned tomatoes are usually picked closer to ripe than store bought and thus carry more flavor than a lot of the garbage you get at the local supermarket. So if you're going to stew them anyway, canned can be better than what you'll find in the produce section. If you have access to locally grown, or home grown of course... there's no substitute .

Yep and these are locally grown and vine ripened . I rarely if ever buy veggies from the supermarket when in season locally .
