Default Would this work for E-HERMS system?

I saw this on Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Farm-Innovators-Universal-Drain--Icer/dp/B000CSR9KO/ref=sr_1_15?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1328114794&sr=1-15

If I put two in each keggle and ran them off seperate circuits (so not to overload my 20 amp/120V circuits) would 3,000 watts in each keggle be enough to heat/boil 10-12 gallons?

Nevermind... i just noticed that it cuts off at 45*F. It is thermostatically controlled.

Darn...

I like the E-system idea, but would rather find a ready-made product that is UL listed. Maybe a 1000 watt bucket heater???

Like this??? This drops me down to 2Kw per Keggle though...

I used a bucket heater for years to heat up water. I don't think it has enough power to boil with. You might need 2 or 3, but that would make me nervous.

Why does that make you nervous? I don't think the elements would touch. The SS guard is there to keep elements off anything else.

If I bought (4). (2) for each keggle, I would be spending $250 shipped. That is a bit much. I bet I could buy a LOT of heat stick equipment for that amount! hmmmm....
