Default Where to get 3 feet of 10-3 romex?

I want to install a receptacle right below my garage box, but nobody sells 10-3 romex by the foot. My only other option is to buy a 25-foot roll. I have called some electrical places around here and nobody is friendly enough to let me look through their scraps.

LowesDepot sell 10-2, and I'm beginning to consider just using that and bonding neutral and ground at the receptacle. On the other hand, I could run SJOOW cable, of which I have 30 feet, but technically you aren't supposed to run that in the wall.

Do not bond the neutral and ground at the receptacle box. They are not to be bonded except in the main panel and/or meter socket base depending on your locale.

I understand that. I also understand that you aren't supposed to run SJOOW in the wall. But I want to brew and nobody will sell me 10-3 romex, so it might come down to a matter of which way to break the code.

The receptacle will be 2 feet from the main panel with no outlets in-between, so bonding the neutral and ground at the receptacle would not be much of a big deal.

Look for electrical supply companies near you. Mine sells me whatever I need. They have huge rolls of wire and you should be able to buy it by the foot or purchase their scrap. Just call around and ask. Some places are really cool and will help others are not so helpful. If you have no luck there, call electricians. They should have scrap to sell you as well.

I needed some 6/4 so I talked to a place that does machine control logic that we work with sometimes and the owner sold me 25' of it for $25. Sometimes you're just better off calling and asking. a couple of feet of 10/3 should not to be hard to come across. Lots of electrical supply shops and electrical contractors out there. One of them will likely be willign to sell you a couple of feet.
