Default WHat size chord to use for JC A419?

Looking to wire up a new A419 and im not sure what size chord to use. Ive heard 16/2. But have also heard nothing smaller than 14. Anyone out there an electrician?

With wire size, you'll want to know the amperage rather than the voltage.

If I recall correctly, the NEC allows for 16 awg to handle 10 amps and 14 awg to handle 15 amps. Best to check on what your wiring to the jc and all that.

I would use 14 personally. If you are just using it to control your fridge or whatever, 16ga is probably OK, but you never know when you'll want to hook it up to control your eHLT or something else that draws higher current. Of course I think the limit is right around 16A max.

The controller can hand ~14-16A. (Rated for 14A by the manufacturer, but teh realy inside is rated for 16) Use 14. This will allow you to connect it to whatever and as long as your controller handles it, your cord will too.
