Default temperature controller from deas fridge - use as external controller on live fridge?

Can a temperature controller from a dead fridge be used to control a fridge that works to make it a fermenter? Im guessing not but thought id get an opinion.
thanks!

Assuming you mean the internal thermostat... Sure, there's likely a way! However, it'd probably be cheaper\easier to buy something else. Or if you're handy, build one of the ebay aquarium controllers (that's what I use).
