Default PVC issues?

Is there any issue with using PVC to make a fasle bottom? I can not think of one as long as you do NOT use the pipe adhesive and just fit it together by snugging the pieces together.

What Brewiz said. PVC is not rated to the temps your mash tun will see which could leach out chemicals you do not want in your beer much less your body. Go with C-PVC or copper.
