I just installed a Ranco to a working chest freezer, and it seems it is not doing its thing...

I need to play around a bit more, like using a lamp to see if I have power on close position.

EDIT: loose wiring on the load side of the hook up, works fine now!

Curious about the best way to set differential value vs freezer on-off operation though...

Correction: it reads S1, which means the controller is energized, per manual.

Maybe I should set it to H (heating application) instead of the "C" (cooling) setting?

For cooling I set mine to the C1. I set the temperature to 61* and the differential temperature to 2 degrees. That means it turns on when the temperature hits 63* and turns off when it gets back down to 61*.
