Default Miller Coolmate 4

I hope this is a good place for this post. I have come into 2 Miller Coolmate 4 welding system coolers. Anybody know how cool these things can get their coolant? Do they have any value for jacketing a fermentation tank? Or perhaps to run coolant for wort chilling?

Not very cold at all. I believe your standard just a few below the ambient temp. It just runs the coolant through a coil with a fan blowing through the coil. Its meant for removing the heat from the torch lines not cooling the torch lines. I think the 4 is rated around 6000 btu per hour. Your not conditioning anything, they essentially work like a radiator on a car.

Based on a quick look at the guts of the thing, that was my assumption. Really nothing there to chill the fluid, just blow off the excess heat. Thanks for the info.
