Default Keggle Fittings

I noticed you can buy fittings for homebrewing from various sites but does a guide exist which has a list of getting the parts from home depot? I'd rather just buy them than order and wait for shipping. Also, does anyone live in Georgia and know where I can rent a plasma cutter or have someone do the cutting?

You should be able to find some of the parts at Home Depot etc, but not everything you will need and not in all stainless steel. They will have a brass ball valve and the brass pipe nipple and maybe some brass washers, but they won't have the silcone O-ring or the back nut and you'll probably have to enlarge the hole in the brass washers to get them to fit. You can order everything you need from McMaster-Carr. I used to have the list of part numbers, but can't find it at the moment. It's been a long time since I used the list. Most of the stuff should be easy to find on the McMaster-Carr site. The back nut will be the trickiest to nail down, but they do sell them. The back nut may not be the type with the machined groove for the O-ring, but it will still work.

Here ya go, I found the list:

WELDLESS CONVERSION (FOR KEG)

Get parts from wwww.mcmaster.com

McMaster Part No. Description Cost

4464K214 Stainless full coupling, 1/2" pipe size, $3.42

4830K171 Stainless Steel 1/2" Close Nipple, Fully Threaded, $1.69

98126A797 Stainless Steel Shim(sold only as a pack of 10 @ $10.38) $1.04

9396K32 Silicone O-Ring (sold only as a pack of 50 @ $14.53) $0.29 (x2)

4429K124 1/2" Locknut, Brass (with groove for o-ring) $1.30

4190K22 1/2" Brass Ball Valve, Full Port $6.

Unfortunately, as you can see, some of the stuff can only be purchased in bulk packs. This makes ordering a kit from one of the vendors much more appealing. The prices are likely out of date and possibly the part numbers too, so as usual YMMV etc.

I have six kegs I got legitimately from a distributor so extras won't be a bad thing. Thanks so much for your help.
