Default Keggle False Bottom

Anyone ever tried using the cut out bottom of a keggle (with drain on bottom) as a false bottom and adding some SS screening to help filter hops? Want to use it on my BK that I am building...thought it might work well.

Thanks!

I've seen quite a number of posts and threads on this forum where people have done it.

Yea, one guy used an angle grinder to cut a bunch of radial slots in it to make the false bottom.

I think these are great ideas, but man what I got from Jaybird on this site is pretty sweet.

I have seen this one, just wondering if anyone combined the keg top with mesh or screen...haven't seen anything like that one here yet.

A mesh is gonna clog up with pellet sludge REALLY fast. I used to have a bazooka screen in my kettle and the hops would clog it 100% before uneven drained a gallon out.
