This is a good question. I just finished my tower (sans taps which are en route).

THis is a DIY 3" PVC unit and I'm wondering why the fuss about certain lengths of liquid line. My inclination is to use as short a hose as possible to get the freshest, coldest draw.

Can someone enlighten me on why I'm wrong on this?

Not challenging what's right...it just seems counter intuitive to have excess line coiled up inside the fridge...

I'm using the 5 feet of 3/16" line that came with the tower. The tower is a two tap SS unit from Beverage Factory...there is a small amount of Styrofoam inside...not nearly enough for insulation IMO.

As far as the length, Beirmuncher, the length of line has to do with resistance vs. pressure and getting the right balance...
