Default Keezer Top

Anyone put laminate flooring on the lid of their keezer?

I'm toying with the idea of using a laminate flooring as my keezer top surface or tiling it. I've tiled several rooms of my house, so it isn't any big deal to me. But I don't want to make the lid so damn heavy I have to have a crane to open it and a brace to hold it open.

Thoughts...ideas?

That should work fine, and could be cool ... I tiled mine and it's quite heavy but the hinges still hold it up ... the flooring would be much lighter.

Be sure to post pics!

I would just make sure it would handle being wet. I just glued some 12x12 vinyl floor tile in for my kitchen backsplash. You know the sticky stuff...use more adhesive. It looks great and I know it can get wet.
