Keezer Project - Add a Collar
I took advantage of the day off and did some work on my soon to be Keezer.
This is an old Montgomery Ward Chest Freezer that I picked up from Craig s List for 30 Bucks. Today I added a 9 in collar made of 3/4 in oak backed with 2 in Foam insulation. Looks Like I might be able to squeeze 4 cornies in there if the tank can fit in the middle. the Tank come this week. Next comes the temp controller and Faucets. http://lh5.ggpht.com/_aM55V9dj14g/SZ...0/DSCN4375.JPG http://lh3.ggpht.com/_aM55V9dj14g/SZ...0/DSCN4370.JPG http://lh6.ggpht.com/_aM55V9dj14g/SZ...0/DSCN4373.JPG http://lh4.ggpht.com/_aM55V9dj14g/SZ...0/DSCN4371.JPG |

Looks nice but looks like your tank will be outside.
I'm thinking about re-doing mine more like yours. Right now My collar lifts up with the lid with the idea of less height to lift the kegs, but with the tap box on top sure makes the lid heavy! |
Pretty!
er, I mean, nice workmanship. I especially like the wood on the inside, finishes it out nicely. |
Nice, now get those kegs cleaned up and fill em with some beer. :d
