I finished up this morning. The only tools I used were a drill and a circular saw. If you don't have a circular saw and can get Home Depot or whoever to cut the wood to length for you, you only need a drill to do this project.
I thought overall it went well, considering how inept I am, but ran into a problem at the end. Moving the freezer back in, the collar shifted. I had attached the collar with Liquid Nails, set the lid on it for weight, and let it set for about 18 hours. The package says 24, but I figured its been so hot outside, it would be fine. I guess not. Any ideas on whether I should kind of wedge each side of the collar up and lay more liquid nails down? Just bead some silicone sealant along the bottom and not worry about it not being strongly attached?
