Keezer with 3 single tap towers
|
|
For my keezer I was thinking of doing 3 single tap towers on top. Keezer holds three kegs. Has anyone seen this done? I have been searching for an hour now and can't find anything like it. Anyone know of a link?
Does anyone think it would look bad? Just looking for opinions, hopefully you guys can give some insight.

I think they would look alright. Just thing about where you would be placing the keezer, as you will most likely need to be able to pull it forward so the towers don't hit a wall when you open it (If you have it backed up against a wall that is...)
I've never seen it done before... but unless you have a cheap source for towers...it may be more expensive than having one three tap tower....

Is there any particular reason over just 3 taps on one tower? Just making sure you knew that was an option vs buying 3 towers.

You will probably (possibly), want some cooling in your towers, otherwise your first pull of the day will always be foamy, (the lines in the towers will warm up)...
3 Towers = 3 cooling systems, (or one big fan and some fancy ducting)....
Not that it won't work, but cooling one 3-tap tower is probably going to be easier than cooling three 1-tap towers...

Didn't think much of the cooling aspect. I just like the look of single towers versus the one tower with 3 taps. As for the cost, most 3 faucet towers are about 225 (as your link is), while single towers cost about 80 each. So only $15 more (tower cost) more for a look that I like better is worth it. I will have sliders on the bottom of the freezer to allow pulling away from the wall.
One thing I had wondered was if I would have enough room for 3 towers on the top of my freezer. If that were the case I was thinking one single tower and 1 dual tower, but unsure if it would look awkward or unique lol. Just not a big fan of the 3 tap tower...
Do you guys know offhand how far apart each tower should be?

I dont think it really matters how far apart they are... if you're set on doing three then try and arrange them in a pattern that you like sitting on top before you do any cutting...

I'd build a collar and put that extra money into a triplet of Perlick forward sealing faucets.

The collar...I am not a huge fan of, I just don't find them that attractive. Plus the keezer will be in my carpeted living room (why walk 10 feet to the kitchen when I can have it two steps from my couch?). I want to minimize the chance of drip/drain/spill from the taps to the floor. I feel like taps on the top would help do that.

To each his own, but I wouldn't stick with those cheap faucets no matter what.
Purdy enough for me.

I agree on the cooling PITA on 3 towers, not to mention the BTU loss. I have two 3 tap towers and I'm happy with them now that I have a blower cooling them.
